Take the Picture - Pregnancy Announcement Photos
So many couples these days are opting to document one of their biggest life milestones with photo shoots. I love this idea and especially during the times we’re living in – hello global pandemic – it’s such an awesome way to share with your friends and family but still make the moment really special.
Schedule your local photographer or utilizes your phone and some basic photo editing software. There is no right or wrong here, just take the pictures. If you are planning to do them yourselves, being outdoors in the early evening will be the best option to avoid light issues.
Think about what you want the pictures to look like once the shoot is complete. Are you guys silly or serious? Stay within the realm of who you are as a couple/family. The pictures won’t feel forced and 10 years from now you’ll definitely love that the photos represent your personalities.
No bump yet, use props. Use a onesie announcing that baby is on the way. Create a fun letterboard and surprise your hubby or other kiddos and capture their reactions. Or make it really simple; add a tiny pair of baby shoes.
If you do have a bump, show it off! Wear something comfortable but fitted.
If this isn’t your first baby, include your other kiddos. This is a great way to have the shoot be dual purpose. Family photos plus pregnancy announcement shoot.
And don’t forget the fur babies.
You don't even need to be in the picture if it's not your thing. Just take the picture.
